Do some states/districts refer to RTI/MTSS with unique language?
Yes. While RTI and MTSS are common terms, many states and districts use their own language, such as “Multitiered Framework,” “Student Support System,” or other locally defined models.
Regardless of the name, the core elements remain the same: tiered supports, data-driven decision-making, progress monitoring, and coordinated intervention processes.

Can I monitor multiple students at the same time using PowerSchool MTSS?
Yes. PowerSchool MTSS’ Intervention progress monitoring supports a wide array of intervention types and tiers within an MTSS framework, from Tier 1 to Tier 3.
What about assessment banks?
Yes. Assessment data can be loaded from any assessment system. Assessments, assessment banks, and item level analysis are offered through PowerSchool’s assessment solution called Performance Matters.
How can teachers view their data?
The “Classroom” dashboards offer a teacher view. Individual educators will also spend time in the student profiles and MTSS portions of the solution as well.
Can Student Plans be customized to meet the district/school needs?
Yes. The Individualized Student Plans are highly configurable. Some districts have plans around Behavior, Attendance, Reading Legislation, Check-In/Check-Out, Threat Assessments, etc.
